At Gold Coast Goju Karate, students have the opportunity to learn self-defence through kata study. Men, women, and children of all ages are welcome to join and enjoy the benefits of this comprehensive and empowering martial art.
The club offers a range of classes throughout the week at different locations. On Mondays, junior ninjas aged 5–8 years can join classes held at Casey Hall in St. Vincents School, Clear Island Waters. Additionally, teenagers and adults aged 9 years and above can participate in classes at the same location.
On Tuesdays, classes are held at the Community Hall in Pimpama Sports Hub for individuals aged 9 years and above. Beginners and intermediate students aged 8 years and above can attend classes on Wednesdays at the Gold Coast PCYC in Broadbeach Waters. The PCYC facility includes mirrors for kata study and resistance bands for speed and strength training. Finally, on Saturdays, junior ninjas (5-8 years) and teenagers/adults (9 years and above) can attend classes at the Community Hall in Pimpama Sports Hub.
Gold Coast Goju Karate is proud to be associated with esteemed organisations such as the Japan Karate Federation Gojukai, Gojuryu Seiwakai International, Goshukan Karate Academy Australia, Australian Karate Federation, and Queensland Karate Association. The club has a direct lineage to renowned figures in the world of karate, including Chojun Miyagi Sensei, Gogen Yamaguchi Hanshi, Shuji Tazaki Hanshi, Seiichi Fujiwara Hanshi, Glenn Stephenson Kyoshi, Stacey Karetsian Kyoshi, and Nick Naudy Sensei.
