He began his Jiu-Jitsu journey under the mentorship of Professor Bruno Bastos at Nova Unio, a respected name in the Jiu-Jitsu community. Professor Daniel's accomplishments include being a NAGA World Champion, IBJJF No-Gi World Championship Double Bronze Medallist, Asian Champion, six-time Australian Champion, and four-time IBJJF Pan Pacific Champion, among many others.

He believes that Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone and has cultivated an environment at Gold Coast Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu where excellence thrives.

Professor Rian Elford, the lead instructor at Collective Martial Arts, also contributes his expertise to Gold Coast Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Having started his Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2013, Professor Rian has attained his black belt under the guidance of Professor Daniel Almeida. He offers his extensive knowledge in both gi and no-gi Jiu-Jitsu and is dedicated to teaching and sharing the art with his students.

Coach Vigo Montes, with his background in wrestling, adds another dimension to the Gold Coast Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team. Having begun his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2006, Coach Vigo's experience and expertise are valuable assets to the school.
