Katy, the organiser of Godmanchester Community Swimming Pool, would like to share some exciting news with the local sports community.
Katy and her team have been hard at work to ensure that the pool, located on the school site of Godmanchester Academy in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, continues to be a valuable resource for everyone. Originally known as Godmanchester Community Pool, the facility was saved from demolition by First Strokes in 2006. Since then, extensive renovation has transformed it into an excellent venue for swimming lessons and other aquatic activities.
The pool, housed in a log cabin built by Norwegian log, includes a pool hall, viewing room, and changing facilities. The dimensions of the pool are 16 metres by 8 metres, with a depth from 0.9 metres to 1.5 metres, providing ample space for everyone from beginners to advanced swimmers. Katy's team offers swimming lessons to two local schools and Godmanchester residents, playing a key role in supporting the community.
The staff at Godmanchester Community Swimming Pool are known for their friendly and welcoming approach, creating a warm atmosphere for families and individuals alike. Parents can relax, knowing their children are in good hands, receiving quality swimming tuition in a family-friendly environment.
Safety is a priority for Katy and her team. They’ve implemented strict safety protocols to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Details of these measures can be found on their Safety at First Strokes page.
For any enquiries or to book swimming lessons, you can contact the pool on 01480 375145 or email [email protected]. The pool is located at Park Lane, Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire, PE29 2AG.
