The Kiwi Scuba Divers Sports Club is excited to promote the upcoming GO PRO New Zealand Diploma in Professional Scuba Instruction event happening right here in Auckland. This 10-month program is perfect for those who have always dreamed of diving into the world of scuba but have no prior experience.
The diploma offers a combination of academic studies and practical training, taking participants from their Open Water Course all the way to becoming a Speciality Instructor. Graduates of the program will complete NZQA unit standards in various diving areas, allowing them to gain valuable skills in Night dives, Underwater Navigation, Search & Recovery, Deep dives, Marine Species Identification, and Wreck diving.
What's even better is that the courses are NZQA approved, meaning that eligible students can apply for student loans to fund their studies. We gladly welcome international students who are equally passionate about exploring the depths of our beautiful oceans.
One of the highlights of the diploma is the opportunity to embark on five exciting field trips to some top dive destinations in New Zealand. From the stunning Poor Knights to the picturesque Bay of Islands, the adventurous Cavalli Islands to the captivating Hauraki Gulf, and the majestic Lake Taupo, students will have the chance to dive in diverse and breathtaking locations. By the time they complete the diploma, they will have logged at least 100 dives, gaining invaluable experience along the way.
To ensure students have the best diving experience, our program includes 24 boat dives on the Whakaari Express, an impressive custom-made 8.5m dive vessel. The instructors leading the program have a wealth of knowledge and expertise, with over 50 combined years of experience as fully qualified PADI Professionals. Rest assured, you will be in capable hands throughout your scuba journey.
If you're feeling particularly adventurous, the program also offers opportunities in technical diving for those interested in pushing their limits and exploring further depths. It's a chance to take your passion for scuba diving to new, thrilling heights!
The next enrolment for the diploma course is fast approaching, with spots available in February or August 2024.
