Glenrothes Football Club

Glenrothes Football Club, also known as Glenrothes FC, is a well-established member of the East of Scotland Football League, competing in the 1st division conference B. The club has a rich history, having been formed in 1964 and enjoying great success as a junior side for over fifty years. In that time, they have achieved more than fifty league and cup victories.

In 2019, Glenrothes FC successfully applied to join the East of Scotland Football Association and began playing in the 2019/20 season. Despite leaving behind their junior status, the club holds great pride in their history and looks forward to creating even more memorable moments in the future.

As a junior side, Glenrothes Juniors was one of the most successful teams in Fife, winning the Scottish Junior Cup in the 1974/75 season and finishing as runners-up in 1967/68. They also reached three other semi-finals. Locally, the Glens secured eleven Fife League titles, twelve Fife Junior Cup wins, and seven Cowdenbeath Cup victories. Additionally, they won the Fife & Lothians Cup once and reached the finals five more times.

The club has also clinched twenty other trophies throughout its illustrious history.

Although Glenrothes FC has faced various challenges in recent years, their move to the East of Scotland Football League has provided them with a renewed focus and determination to rebuild the club into a powerhouse both on and off the pitch.
