Welcome to Glasgow Thai Boxing Academy, a family-friendly martial arts school and boxing gym located in Glasgow's Westend. Our aim is to make Thai Boxing accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of age or experience level. Thai Boxing, also known as Muay Thai or The Science of Eight Limbs, utilises the hands, feet, knees, and elbows for self-defence. It is not only an effective form of self-defence, but also a full-body workout suitable for both men and women.
At Glasgow Thai Boxing Academy, we pride ourselves on being a community-based club, welcoming students from all over Glasgow and even from around the world. Our recently refurbished gym features a boxing ring, a wide selection of equipment including pads, bags, and kick shields, free weights, kettlebells, and ample matted areas for training. We also have students from other martial arts disciplines such as Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, boxing, and Ju-Jitsu training with us, creating a diverse and supportive training environment.
We offer Muay Thai classes for all levels, from complete novices to champion fighters. Whether you have aspirations of becoming a world champion or simply want a safe and enjoyable way to relieve stress while getting fit and lean, our experienced coaches are dedicated to helping you achieve your goals. We also offer one-on-one coaching sessions, allowing for personalised instruction tailored to your specific needs and weaknesses.
Our class timetable offers a wide range of options throughout the week, accommodating various schedules and experience levels. From junior classes to adult classes, there is something for everyone at Glasgow Thai Boxing Academy. We even have a junior fight team training session for those interested in competing in the sport.
