Established in 1890, the club is named after the Glasgow Perthshire Society and plays its home games at Keppoch Park, located near the Saracen Park home of Ashfield FC. The club currently competes in the West Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association.
The team proudly sports black and white stripes as their uniform. Once considered one of the top Junior sides in the country, Glasgow Perthshire FC has a rich history and has produced notable players who have gone on to represent Scotland and other professional clubs. Former players such as Bobby Campbell, Jimmy Connor, Jimmy Lawrence, Tom Sloan, James Stark, and Robert Thomson have all earned international caps during their careers.
Throughout its history, Glasgow Perthshire FC has achieved several honours and titles. They were crowned 2nd Division Champions in the 2016-17 season and have also won the Scottish Junior Cup three times, in 1931-32, 1940-41, and 1943-44. The club has also triumphed in other competitions, such as the West of Scotland Cup in 1939-40 and the Central League in 1976-77. They have been winners of the Glasgow Junior Cup, Glasgow Junior Consolation Cup, Maryhill Charity Cup, and North Eastern Junior Cup, among others, on multiple occasions.
