Gareth and the team are all about backing athletics in Glasgow, teaming up with Scottish Athletics and the Glasgow Clubs. Their aim? To give all athletes out there a shot at growth and development through a bunch of events throughout the year.
First up, winter. Gareth’s buzzing to bring back the Winter Endurance Sessions. It’s a top chance to boost your endurance through the cross-country season. Sure, the Emirates Arena closure has thrown a spanner in the works for a few regular Winter Open Gradeds, but there’s still a lot to look forward to. Mark your calendars for the U12’s Fun Day on 17th March, featuring a brand new track. Should be a blast!
And that’s not all. The third edition of Jump Glasgow is coming on 22nd March. This year promises to be an absolute banger, with athletes pushing for personal bests and chasing after the Jump Glasgow trophy and grand prize.
But wait, there’s more! The summer calendar of events is in the works, so keep your eyes peeled for updates.
On top of all that, there are Miler Meets, Sprint Galas, and the Glasgow Jaguars. The Miler Meets include distances like 10K, 800m, 3,000m, 1,500m, and 5,000m, so there’s plenty of scope to show off your skills. The Sprint Galas are full of thrilling sprint competitions and cater to all levels. As for the Glasgow Jaguars, they’re proper high-level competition for Scottish athletes, held at prestigious spots like Eton, Woodford, and Birmingham.
