Glasgow Aikido Club is an established martial arts club located in Glasgow, Scotland. Since its inception in 2004, the club has been providing Aikido training to individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you are a white belt beginner or an advanced black belt, Glasgow Aikido Club welcomes you to join their friendly atmosphere.
The club's training sessions take place at The Kelvin Hall Sports Centre on Sundays from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm and Wednesdays from 8:15 pm to 9:45 pm. New starters are encouraged to join anytime. To get started, simply click on the provided link on their social media and club directory listings.
The instructor at Glasgow Aikido Club, Sensei Firestone, has years of experience in martial arts. Born in 1980, he began practising martial arts at the age of 8 with Judo. After transitioning to Karate, Sensei Firestone achieved his 2nd Dan in 1998. He then found his passion in Aikido.
Sensei Firestone joined the Ki Federation in 1999 and Aikido UK in 2000. Under the guidance of his teacher, he became an assistant and started teaching juniors at Parklands Country Club in 2003. In 2004, he opened the Kelvin Hall Aikido Club, which has since grown to include a variety of Kyu and Dan grades. Sensei Firestone has achieved several martial arts qualifications, including 5th Dan Aikido, 2nd Dan Karate, and 1st Dan Iaido.
