Welcome to the Gerry Archer Athletic Track, home of the Kewdale Little Athletics Club. Founded in 1970, our club has a rich history of nurturing young athletes and helping them achieve success through their hard work and dedication. We believe that being part of Little Athletics is not just about competition but also about belonging to a supportive and fun-loving community.
Located on the corner of Leach Highway and Abernethy Road in Cloverdale, the Gerry Archer Athletic Track is a state-of-the-art facility that caters to athletes of all ages and abilities. From October through to March, we host both training sessions and competitions, providing a platform for athletes to showcase their skills and improve their performance.
At the Kewdale Little Athletics Club, we place a strong emphasis on teaching our athletes good sportsmanship and essential skills. We believe that having fun is the most important aspect of competition, and we strive to create a positive and enjoyable environment for all our members. We encourage families to join our club and experience the camaraderie and excitement of being part of a great Little Athletics community.
Registration for the 2022/2023 season is now open, and we offer a fee structure that caters to athletes from under 6 to under 17. The registration fee covers both summer track and field competitions, as well as winter cross country runs and road walks. Please note that there is a small administration fee and processing fee added to the registration amount. Discounts for second and third children from the same immediate family are also available.
Training sessions at the Gerry Archer Athletic Track take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm to 6:30pm, starting from September 13th and October 6th respectively. Parents of children aged U6 to U13 are required to remain at the training sessions for supervisory purposes. The track is easily accessible, located on the corner of Abernethy Road and Leach Highway, with entry via Abernethy Road.
Our club is led by a dedicated committee that includes President Neil Crabbe, Manager Julie-Anne Beasley, Secretary Kate Tilbee, Treasurer Simone Mills, Registrar Catherine Crabbe, and Coaches Allira Mach and John Ferguson. They work tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the club and provide support and guidance to our athletes.
