GERONIMO! Skydiving Team

GERONIMO! Skydiving Team, located in Ridgeway, is managed by professional exhibition skydiver and founding member, John Wallace. Established in 1981, the team started as a four-man exhibition team with the goal of promoting the sport of skydiving and becoming the best civilian exhibition team in North America. Performance Excellence is the team's motto, along with the slogan “On Time On Target.

Over the years, the team has progressed from performing at local community events to large venue events nationally. In 1986, the team introduced Tandem Exhibition Skydiving by delivering the NFL Philadelphia Eagles mascot, "Swoop,” into Veterans Stadium during a halftime show. Today, the GERONIMO! Skydiving Team members are highly experienced and skilled civilian show jumpers, professionally credentialed in both Canada and the United States.

Committed to performance excellence, safety, professionalism, and personal integrity, team members also aim to give back to the community and serve as role models for youth. The team's home base is conveniently located in Fort Erie, Ontario, in the Niagara region, to better serve both Canada and the United States.

In 2019, the team earned the prestigious CSPA National Sportsmanship Award during the Canadian Skydiving National Championships. With over 42 years of experience, the GERONIMO! Skydiving Team continues to captivate audiences throughout Canada and the United States with their thrilling performances.

The team's logo, redesigned in 2015, honours one of the original founding members, Nuncio Forte, featuring his profile with a falcon forever in flight within the circle of life. The team is actively involved in volunteering with community groups, events, charitable organizations, and veteran groups, showcasing their community-oriented approach.

GERONIMO! Skydiving Team offers tandem exhibitions, with a notable accomplishment being the first legal nighttime stadium exhibition jump with a passenger on August 26, 1996. This pioneering jump paved the way for the use of the Tandem Parachute System for skydiving exhibitions.

Led by founder and director John Wallace, the team includes skilled members such as Mario Lakatos, Michel Denis, Cezar Bucevschi, and more. With a wealth of experience and certifications, the team is dedicated to delivering outstanding performances and upholding the highest standards in the sport of skydiving.
