Jordanne is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all dancers, regardless of their age or abilities. She is especially skilled in teaching ballet, tap, theatre craft, modern jazz, acro gymnastics, and cheerleading. With her background in performing arts and her experience as a mother, Jordanne brings a unique perspective to her classes. DBS checked annually and First Aid trained.
At Gem's Dance Academy, the focus is not only on dance technique, but also on creating a positive and inclusive experience for all dancers. The academy offers a wide range of classes, including Street, Freestyle, Ballroom, Latin, Musical Theatre, Rock 'n' Roll, Ballet, Tap, and Gymnastics, catering to dancers of all ages and interests. Private lessons are also available for those who prefer one-on-one instruction.
The academy takes pride in its achievements, consistently achieving top marks in exams and competitions at both local and national levels. However, the emphasis remains on making lessons fun, inspirational, and productive for all dancers. Whether a student is simply dancing for fun or working towards medals and competitions, Gem's Dance Academy has a class that suits their needs.

The academy regularly participates in local performances, supports charity fundraisers, hosts community events, and even holds its own Stay and Play sessions during term time. Gemma Welch, the principal of Gem's Dance Academy and Performing Arts, is committed to ensuring that expressive arts such as dance and drama are enjoyable and accessible to all. With her experience as an ex-English teacher and as a Guide Leader, Gemma brings a unique combination of skills to her dance and drama lessons. She believes in creating a fun yet purposeful learning environment for her students and values the support of her amazing team.
In addition to Gemma, Gem's Dance Academy is proud to have Emily Harris and Jordanne Wood as teachers. Emily is skilled in Ballroom, Latin, and Freestyle, with a background in education and special needs. Jordanne has a wide range of dance experience and professional qualifications in various theatre subjects. Both teachers are passionate about sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm with their students, while also prioritising the well-being and inclusivity of each dancer.
