Reading Fencing Club is thrilled to announce the upcoming GB League Fencing Tournament happening on May 8th, 2024. This event is perfect for all seasoned épéeists, whether you've just finished a beginner course or have been fencing for years.
The tournament is structured to simulate the exciting atmosphere of inter-club competitive fencing while ensuring a welcoming environment for participants of all levels. Bouts will follow a fast-paced first to 5 hits in 3 minutes format, giving everyone a chance to test their skills against fellow fencers.
Each participant will have the opportunity to referee a match, fence two opponents, and earn points along the way. Don't worry if you're new to refereeing - experienced fencers will be on hand to provide guidance and support throughout the tournament.
To join in on the action, make sure you have a BF Recreational Membership and a PlayWaze account ready to go. The event will be held at Reading Blue Coat School, located at Holme Park, Sonning Lane, in Sonning on Thames, Berkshire, with the postcode RG4 6SU.
