Garstang Canoe & Kayak Club, founded in 1973 by members of the local Scout group at the Tithe Barn pub, is a key player in the UK's paddling community. The club boasts access to the picturesque River Wyre, perfect for training and honing moving water paddling skills. A short 250-metre walk from the Garstang Sports & Social Club leads members straight to the river, making it convenient to hit the water quickly.

Tony Barnes and his team provide all necessary equipment, including boats, paddles, spray decks, helmets, and buoyancy aids. The club also offers guidance from British Canoeing-accredited instructors, ensuring safety and skill development for members.

Membership is priced at £30 annually, with discounts for juniors and joint memberships.
