The club, affiliated with the British Crown Green Bowling Association (BCGBA), sticks to all the official rules and standards. Gargrave is all about mixing fun with fierce competition, regularly hosting and participating in both league and club matches.

Gargrave Bowls Club, with a history dating back to 1899, is part of a rich tradition. Since the British Crown Green Bowling Association was established in 1907, the sport has grown to over 200,000 members and more than 3,000 clubs across the regions from Cumbria to the Midlands and beyond.

Membership is open to everyone, no matter where you live or your ethnic background. Visitors can use the green and club equipment by getting the clubhouse door code from The Masons Arms staff and dropping a £2 fee in the honesty box. If you decide to join the club, the annual subscription is £40, giving you full access to the clubhouse, green, and all club equipment anytime it's available. Plus, you can take part in all club competitions.
