Garforth Rangers AFC is a reputable football club based in Garforth, Leeds. Established in 1996, the club has a rich history and has become a well-respected presence in the local football community. As a FA Charter Standard 3 club, Garforth Rangers AFC is committed to meeting the highest standards of coaching, player development, and club management.
The club welcomes players of all ages and genders, running teams from under 5s to under 18s for both boys and girls. In addition, Garforth Rangers AFC also has open-age male and female teams, providing opportunities for players of all skill levels and age groups.
The development of young players is a top priority for Garforth Rangers AFC. The club boasts a development squad that focuses on teaching boys and girls aged 4 to 6 the fundamentals of football in a fun and supportive environment. These sessions, led by fully qualified coaches, take place on Saturday mornings on the Astro surface at Garforth Academy.
For older players, Garforth Rangers AFC's junior section caters to boys and girls aged 7 and up to 18 years old. These teams compete in various leagues, including the Garforth Junior League, the West Riding Girls League, and the Selby Junior League. Over the years, the club's junior teams have achieved notable success, winning multiple league titles and cups in different competitions.
In addition to the youth setup, Garforth Rangers AFC has a well-established senior setup. The club's senior teams participate in the Yorkshire Amateur League, the West Riding Flexi League, and the West Riding U21 league. Claire Tindall serves as the Welfare Officer, with an Assistant Welfare Officer to be appointed. Jon Follows takes charge as the FA Charter Standard Co-ordinator, while Claire Tindall and Gary Johnson serve as the Boys Secretary and Girls & Ladies Secretary, respectively.
Neil Wormald is the Open Age Secretary, and Phil Jones and Helen Cockrem handle the responsibilities of Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer. The club is also honoured to have an Honorary Club President who provides guidance and support.
