James Gryphon 1st Dan James started judo as a student in the Bish and is also a keen Karate and Aikido practitioner. He has been coaching at Galway Judo Club for several years and brings a dynamic and engaging teaching style to his classes. Derek Conway 2nd Dan Derek coaches the senior classes each week and is a multiple Judo champion.
He brings a competitive edge to his coaching and is dedicated to helping his students reach their full potential in the sport. Brian Conway 2nd Dan Trained in France on a cultural exchange, Brian, along with his brother Derek, coaches the senior class at Galway Judo Club. He has a deep understanding of the technical aspects of judo and is committed to helping his students improve their skills on the mat. Mina Ishihara 1st Dan Originally from Osaka, Japan, Mina obtained his 1st Dan in February 1993.
He brings a unique perspective to judo coaching at Galway Judo Club and is passionate about sharing his knowledge of the sport with his students.
