Beginners Class will now be held on Fridays at 6:00-7:00pm from 31st January 2024.
At FTS Krav Maga, they are committed to providing effective self-defence training to individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels. As an IKMF-affiliated Krav Maga club, they ensure that their instructors are IKMF-certified Civilian Instructors, receiving regular updates directly from the IKMF. The International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF) is a renowned organisation that operates in over 70 countries worldwide. Led by chairman and head instructor Avi Moyal, the IKMF aims to distribute the craft of Krav Maga while fostering a sense of family and close ties among its international members.
FTS Krav Maga offers comprehensive self-defence training that covers strikes, fighting tactics, and defences against various types of attacks, including strikes, grabs, holds, attacks on the ground, multiple attackers, and threats using weapons such as knives, sticks, and guns. Their classes are open to everyone, and they take pride in fostering a diverse community where members support and respect each other like a family.
Chris Murray, the lead instructor at FTS Krav Maga, along with the dedicated instructor team, are IKMF-certified Civilian Instructors. They undergo regular training and updates from the IKMF's Global Instructor Team, allowing them to pass on the latest knowledge and experience directly from Imi Lichtenfeld, the founder of Krav Maga.
In addition to their instructors, FTS Krav Maga also values their support team. While not instructors themselves, they play a vital role in the club. The club ambassador serves as a point of contact for any club events or issues, ensuring smooth club operations. The media manager and webmaster handle the club's social media content and webpage, keeping it fresh and engaging.
All members of the support team have also undergone the grading process and attended club and national events with the IKMF Global Instructor Team.
To prioritise student safety, all instructors at FTS Krav Maga are first aid trained, including CPR certification. This ensures that they can promptly respond to any emergencies that may occur during training sessions.
FTS Krav Maga offers a new class timetable to cater to their students' needs. As of 1st February 2024, they will be opening a new Adult Beginners Class in Northwich from 7:00-8:00pm. The Heald Green class will be closing on the 25th of January 2024, and the Altrincham Adult Beginners Class will now be held on Fridays from 6:00-7:00pm, starting from the 31st of January 2024.
