Christopher, the organiser of Friday Night 5s in Chiswick, wants to share some exciting updates with the sports community. Since its first match in 2009, Friday Night 5s has grown to become the most popular youth football league in West London, attracting over 1200 young footballers each term. The league, located at Chiswick Common, boasts top-notch facilities, including a café, soft play area, and changing rooms.
The league is a cornerstone of the Chiswick community, offering a fun social occasion for kids and parents alike. With 150 junior teams playing on 11 floodlit pitches, you can feel the camaraderie and excitement from 4 pm when the first whistle blows. The referees focus on fair play and reward effort, not just skill.
Netball enthusiasts aren't left out either—each Tuesday, the junior netball league takes place at the Chiswick venue. Space is limited, so if you're keen, drop a line to Chiswick@rockslane.co.uk for more details.
Team pride is important at Friday Night 5s, which is why teams can order their own kits from the Rocks Lane supplier. From designing team names and badges to having their own strips, players can truly feel a part of their teams.
The new season kicks off on Friday, 8th September, and spots are limited. To register your team, email Christopher at christopher@rockslane.uk. If you're thinking about joining for the next term, fill out the form on the website today.
You'll find Rocks Lane Chiswick at 60 Chiswick Common Rd, Chiswick, London. Subscribe to their newsletter for the latest news and updates straight to your inbox.
Christopher believes in the unique experience Friday Night 5s offers. The emphasis on friendship, fair play, and fun makes it stand out from other leagues. The five-a-side format lets kids play with friends, create team names and badges, and have their own strips.
Fair play is crucial at Friday Night 5s, with strict match rules and a code of conduct for everyone involved. Referees monitor fair play, and each week a Fair Play Award, sponsored by Falcons Pre-Preparatory School For Boys, is given out.
Chiswick has become the most popular spot for Friday Night 5s. Matches start at 4 pm with the youngest players in School Year 1 and go on until the School Year 11 games at 9:25 pm. Experienced referees and coaches ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all, no matter the weather. The league also runs High 5s Netball Leagues, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
Christopher and the team are dedicated to offering a fun and positive football experience for children in the Chiswick community.
