Would you like to help raise awareness of breast cancer? Then why not get involved in the upcoming art installation being organised by Pilates Club Woollahra. As part of their contribution to breast cancer awareness month, they have teamed up with local artist Elizabeth Gervay from Arts on the Move.
The aim of this project is to create 100 unique and eye-catching boobs using old socks, fabric off-cuts, buttons, and various other found objects. These boobs will then be brought together to form a striking public art installation.
To take part in this community project, all you need to do is bring along an old sock or two, your trusty sewing kit, and any crafty materials you may have. With these items in hand, you can let your imagination run wild and create your very own boob. The workshop promises to be a fun and creative event, allowing everyone to get involved and join forces in raising awareness for a worthy cause.
But what if you're unable to make it to the workshop? Don't worry, you can still play a part in this meaningful project. Simply drop off your crafted boob at the Pilates Club Woollahra clinic during the month of October. They will make sure it gets included in the urban display that will showcase the community's efforts.
To register for the workshop or to find out more information, all you need to do is reach out to the Pilates Club Woollahra clinic. You can give them a call at 8018 8240 or email info@orsi.au. They will be more than happy to assist you.
So, let's come together as a community and make a difference by supporting this fantastic initiative. Your creativity and contribution are invaluable in raising awareness of breast cancer. Join Pilates Club Woollahra and artist Elizabeth Gervay in creating a powerful art installation that will have a lasting impact.
