Recognised as an Associated Board of Dance 'School of Excellence', Freeman Dance has achieved a 100% pass rate in all technical examinations. Many of its students have gone on to perform professionally in the West End, on world tours, and in TV & film.

Since its establishment in 1982 by Jill Freeman, Freeman Dance has seen thousands of students pass through its doors. Today, it is one of the largest dance schools in the Midlands, and it is proud to be on its third generation of Freeman Dancers, even teaching grandchildren of former pupils.

One significant focus for Freeman Dance is encouraging boys to pursue dance. The school actively promotes the message that dancing is not “just for girls” and is proud to have over 100 FD boys training across all subjects. These boys are known for being some of the strongest and most talented all-round dancers in the city.

In addition to its dedication to student success, Freeman Dance offers outstanding performance opportunities. The school actively seeks new and exciting events throughout the year to build students' confidence and stage presence. Some highlights include performances at the Belgrade Theatre, MOVE IT London, Cadbury World, Disneyland Paris, and many other prestigious venues.

Freeman Dance offers a wide range of classes and packages for students of all ages. Classes start at age 3 and are arranged by school year groups. Nursery and Reception classes offer a foundation in Ballet, Tap, and Modern, while infants (Yr1+) are also introduced to Acro and Irish dancing. The school also offers classes in Ballet, Acro, Street/Modern dance, and Lyrical dance.
