Bro Ffestiniog Swimming Pool, along with six other swimming pools, offers free swimming sessions as part of the national Free Swimming program in Wales. This initiative aims to promote swimming among young people (16 and under) and individuals over 60.
If you're under 16, you can enjoy free swimming on weekends at any of the participating pools, except for Bro Ffestiniog Swimming Pool, which holds its free session on Tuesdays. And guess what? There are even extra free sessions during the summer holidays, so you can make a splash all season long.
To join in on the free swimming fun, all you need is an Annual Byw'n Iach Membership Ticket. Don't worry, it's super easy to arrange. Just get in touch with your local centre and they'll sort you out.
Now, if you're a customer over 60, and you reside in Wales, you're in luck! You can swim for free during specific sessions at any of the participating pools. The only requirement is that you have the annual membership. It's as simple as that.
Got a Max Card? Well, then you're in for a treat. Families with a Max Card can enjoy free access to family swimming sessions. Just make sure at least one adult member of your family is a member of Byw'n Iach, and you're good to go.
Young Carers with a Young Carer ID card are also given the opportunity to swim for free. Plus, they can even bring along a friend or family member to the public swimming sessions. Double the fun!
And let's not forget about our amazing veterans. If you have a DDS card or a Defence Privilege Card, you can swim for free at any of the participating pools. No membership required, just bring your card and dive right in.
