The track season runs from November to April and is limited to 10 walkers or bikers per day, ensuring a peaceful and exclusive experience.
During the two to three days journey, participants have the opportunity to stay in refurbished Shepherds Huts, which were once used by shepherds for mustering and boundary keeping from the 1860s to the 1970s. These huts have been meticulously upgraded to ensure maximum comfort and cosiness, while still retaining their original history and charm.
The walking track covers a 27-kilometre round trip over Four Peaks Station, following the route taken by pioneer farmers and shepherds in the 1850s when sheep farming first began in the area. The track is well-marked and offers stunning views of the surrounding high country landscape.
