The main instructor at Forfend is Aziz, a highly qualified self-defence instructor with extensive experience. Aziz has been studying Aikido since 1983, beginning his training in Casablanca, Morocco, under the guidance of Bahadou Abderrahman Sensei. He obtained his black belt in 1989 and has since taught Aikido to adults and children at various clubs.
Recognising the significance of self-defence in today's world, Aziz sought to find a faster and more practical approach to teaching self-defence. He obtained a BTEC Level 3 Self-Defence Instructor qualification, which provided him with a deeper understanding of the relationship between self-defence and the law, as well as the instinctual response and use of force. Additionally, Aziz is also a qualified Approach Method instructor, enabling him to teach and communicate these techniques effectively.
