Jamie, our event organiser, has some exciting news! Jamie wanted to share a bit about Forest Lane Park Lake, located right here in London. It's a lovely spot in Forest Lane Park, perfect for a swim in the heart of the city.
The lake is easy to get to, with bus stops nearby and the Docklands Light Railway at Abbey Road making it super convenient. Drivers, there's plenty of parking close by too.
When you get to the lake, you'll find a designated swimming area, making it safe and enjoyable for everyone. If fishing is your thing, there's a fishing area available by licence only.
The park itself has a lot going on. There's a community garden open to all, play areas for kids of all abilities, and outdoor gym equipment for those looking to keep fit. The surrounding woodland and tree trail add to the peaceful vibe, and yes, there's wheelchair access throughout the park, including some play equipment.
So, if you're looking to escape the city buzz, whether for a swim, a picnic, or just to relax, Jamie reckons Forest Lane Park Lake is the spot for you.
