The instructors at Forest Kyokushin Karate are highly qualified and experienced. Sempai Julius, one of the instructors, started his training in 1999 in Canberra. He holds a black belt Shodan (1st Dan) and has competed in various championships, achieving the champion title in both the 2012 Victorian and National Full Contact Championships. Sempai Julius is also an instructor at Narre Warren dojo.
Sensei Ian, another esteemed instructor, started his training in 1985 in Geelong and has since attained multiple black belt grades, including Yondan (4th Dan) in 2022. He has been the head instructor at the Narre Warren dojo since its establishment in 2001. Sensei Ian also actively participates as a referee and judge in state, national, and international level Kyokushin Karate tournaments.
Frank, another instructor at Forest Kyokushin Karate, started his training in 2015 in Traralgon. He currently holds the rank of 4th Kyu (Green belt) and has competed and placed in non-contact and full contact tournaments, as well as kata competitions.
Forest Kyokushin Karate is affiliated with the Victorian Kyokushin Karate Association, which is associated with the International Kyokushin Organisation-Matsushima (Japan). All instructors at the school hold 'Working with Children' checks, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of their students.
