Footsteps Theatre School

Footsteps Theatre School is a renowned dance school located in Bradford, New Zealand. Established in 1992 by the talented Hiedi Stoakes, the school has grown over the years to become a hub of exceptional dance training for young individuals. Many of our former students have gone on to achieve great success, both as professional performers and as dance educators.

At Footsteps Theatre School, we believe in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for our students. Our ballet classes follow the ISTD syllabus, which promotes the English Classical Style while addressing the changing needs of ballet dancers today. From Pre Primary to Advanced levels, our dedicated teachers ensure that each student receives individual attention and guidance, allowing them to progress and excel in their technique and artistry.

In our jazz dance classes, students have the opportunity to learn new movements and showcase their talent. This energetic and dynamic style of dance is loved by many of our dancers.

Modern dance, which originated in America and has gained popularity worldwide, is another style we offer. With its theatrical qualities, modern dance is often seen on the stages of musical productions.

Tap dance is a fun and energetic class where dancers use their feet to strike the floor, creating rhythmic beats. Students also have the chance to take exams in tap dance.

Singing classes at Footsteps Theatre School are conducted in groups of age and level-appropriate levels. Led by the talented Aimee Good, these classes focus on warm-up exercises, breathing techniques, and the teaching of songs in various styles.

Operating hours at Footsteps Theatre School are from Monday to Saturday, with specific class schedules available on our website. Our studio is located on Westfield Lane in Idle, Bradford, giving easy access to students from the surrounding areas.
