In a charming setting, Fondation Pgase strives to be a place where the well-being of animals and people are at the heart of their priorities. The centre aims to provide therapeutic horseback riding activities to support the physical and emotional development of individuals with disabilities. The foundation, established in December 2016 as a non-profit organization, became a registered charity in Canada in May 2019.
”I learned to trust myself, being with a horse, taking care of it gives me a sense of well-being and freedom. I love Fondation Pgase because the people are kind and helpful.

"Developing a bond between an autistic person and his horse Zara. Thanks to Cindie and Fondation Pgase for your unconditional love for people with differences.
In operation since 2016, many young and older individuals have had unforgettable experiences with the horses at Fondation Pgase. After several relocations, the foundation settled in an incredible site adapted to its clientele in May 2021. Many improvements are in the works to better serve their growing clientele.
Cindie Jomphe, Founder and Director of the centre, has been passionate about horses and wanted to share this unbelievable world. The program is a perfect combination to live this dream while helping individuals with disabilities meet beautiful challenges.
The therapeutic riding sessions are organized according to the criteria of the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CANTRA). The approach focuses on the joy of being with the horse, with learning integrated through play. This helps improve muscle tone, balance, coordination, motor skills, autonomy, self-esteem, and all the benefits of horseback riding.
- Gelato: Specialist in skijoring, he brings joy to the young riders with his playful personality.
- Zara: The inspiration behind the centre, she is now semi-retired but continues to give wings to children at her own pace.
Fondation Pgase welcomes a diverse clientele and offers private lessons, holiday camps, and school programs in collaboration with teachers. Volunteers play a crucial role in the success of the services offered, and those interested in supporting the foundation's mission are encouraged to get involved.
