Calling all boat owners to join the Float Your Boat event on June 21st, 2024 at Caves Beach Netball Courts. This open competition is a chance for participants to showcase their creativity by dressing up their boats with lights and joining a dazzling flotilla parade for cash prizes. The Lake Macquarie City Council is providing support in the form of guidance, money, and materials to help create a stunning display that will light up the waters.
Spectators can look forward to a colorful display of boats cruising past the shores, accompanied by live music, illuminated performances, family-friendly entertainment, and delicious offerings from food trucks at three different locations. To participate, boat owners must have a boat between 5m and 18m in length, be over 16 years old, and possess a current RMS boat license.
