FLEX Pilates London- Matwork is a Pilates studio located in London, specifically in the Honour Oak Community for Reformer Pilates and the Hither Green area for Matwork Pilates. The studio was founded by Alex Tinney in 2021, initially starting with just one class per week at St Switthuns Church hall. Since then, the studio has grown to offer two busy matwork classes per week, a small group reformer studio, and a team of experienced and qualified Pilates teachers.

The main goal of FLEX Pilates is to help clients improve their mobility, alignment, awareness, and confidence in their movement, which can be carried over into daily life. All the teachers at FLEX Pilates are fully qualified in both Matwork and Reformer Pilates, having trained at reputable Pilates schools.

Pilates, created by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s, is a method of exercise that focuses on improving posture, reducing lower back pain, promoting relaxation, and enhancing physical strength. It is suitable for individuals of all ages and can benefit individuals at different stages of their lives.

FLEX Pilates operates with certain policies to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for all clients. Arrivals for classes are requested to be no more than five minutes before the scheduled class time. Late arrivals beyond five minutes may be refused entry due to disruption and safety concerns.

Cancellation of classes is subject to a six-hour notice period. Failure to cancel within this timeframe will result in a loss of class credit. There is also a nightly blackout period from 12 am to 6 am, which requires a 12-hour notice for morning classes. It is recommended to cancel before 7 pm for the 7 am class, before 8 pm for the 8 am class, and before 9 pm for the 9 am class.

For fully booked classes, clients have the option to join a waitlist. Movement in class bookings often occurs, so clients on the waitlist may have the opportunity to secure a spot. When a spot becomes available, an email notification will be sent, and the client will have two hours to claim the spot. Grip socks are required for all reformer classes for safety and hygiene purposes.

Clients who do not have their own grip socks can purchase a pair at the studio for 12.
