Flex Pilates York (formerly Flex Sports Therapy) is a Pilates studio located in York. The studio is owned and operated by Karen, a certified Balanced Body Pilates instructor and Level 4 sports therapist, with a background in pharmacy and holistic therapies. Karen's love for exercise and fitness, along with her personal experience using Pilates to recover from an injury obtained during marathon training, inspired her to become an instructor and share the benefits of Pilates with others.
Flex Pilates York offers a variety of classes designed to meet different needs and fitness levels. The “Get Fit Fast” programme offers 1 to 1 private sessions, perfect for individuals with injuries or those who prefer individual attention. These sessions focus on using small pieces of equipment on the mat to increase strength, improve posture, and correct imbalances.
Group Pilates classes are held at the Gate Helmsley Village Hall and are suitable for all levels. Each week, the routines are changed, and sometimes small pieces of equipment are incorporated to keep the classes fun and challenging. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, these group classes provide a supportive and motivating environment.

This Pilates-based, ballet-inspired method is designed to sculpt and lengthen your muscles while keeping your heart elevated.
