Flatwater Paddling Yukon Society (FPY) is a canoe and kayak club based in Whitehorse, Yukon, dedicated to promoting and providing opportunities for Yukoners to enjoy, participate, and excel in flatwater paddle sports. Established in 2016, FPY serves as the governing body for flatwater paddling in the territory, overseeing activities related to Sprint Racing (Flatwater) to enable athletes to compete competitively.
With a focus on fostering personal excellence in the sport of canoe and kayak, FPY hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including the IceBreaker Race from Marsh Lake to Schwatka, Paddle Cross on Long Lake, the Yukon Championship Regatta at Schwatka, the Chili & Bean Race from Rotary Park to Takhini Bridge, and the Autumn Classic on the McClintock River. These events provide opportunities for paddlers of all levels to showcase their skills and compete in a supportive and encouraging environment.
As an affiliate of Flatwater North Sprint Club, FPY works closely with Sport Yukon, the Yukon Canoe Kayak Club (YCKC), and other key stakeholders to promote and grow flatwater paddling in the Yukon.
