Are you the owner of Fitzroy Cricket Club?

Fitzroy Cricket Club, situated at Peringa Park in New Plymouth's eastern suburbs, has been a cornerstone of the community for over 130 years. Jackie has organised events and initiatives to keep the club thriving within the Taranaki Cricket Association (TCA), under the Central Districts cricket umbrella.
The club supports two age group representative teams and three senior teams, catering to both competitive and recreational players. It also extends its facilities to three local schools, contributing significantly to the growth of cricket in the region.
Jackie is dedicated to fostering a successful, inclusive, community and family-based club with a friendly, “village green” atmosphere. The enthusiastic committee works hard to improve the club and provide members with the best gear and facilities possible.
Building strong, reciprocal relationships with the local business community is a priority for Jackie to meet the club's objectives. Each year, the club undertakes initiatives that require funding to keep advancing.
The history of Fitzroy Cricket Club dates back to 1884. It began as the Smart Road Cricket Club, playing in a cow paddock, then moved to the Waiwhakaiho Showgrounds, contending with coconut matting and sheep-maintained outfields. In 1960, it relocated to Peringa Park and adopted the Fitzroy name to reflect its new suburb.
The grass block laid in the late 1970s or early 1980s marked a significant upgrade in the club's facilities.
Fitzroy Cricket Club's on-field success is a result of strong support from its members. They consistently cheer on the players and encourage better performance. Jackie extends an invitation to all cricket enthusiasts interested in joining this vibrant cricket community. For more details, contact the club directly.
