Michelle Clarke, an experienced dancer with a diverse dance background, leads the classes. She has achieved various dance awards and qualifications, including IDTA awards in Ballroom and Latin dances, NATD levels in Tap/Modern/Stage/Disco, and completion of the JWAAD foundation Course in Bellydancing.
FitSteps is a fitness class that combines steps from Ballroom and Latin dances like Cha Cha Cha, Waltz, Samba, and Rumba. The programme was created by Ballroom dancers Natalie Lowe, Ian Waite, and British swimmer Mark Foster, who were inspired by the health and fitness benefits of dancing. FitSteps with Michelle Clarke in Harlow started in August 2014, after Michelle qualified as an instructor. The programme has gained popularity since then.
FitSteps with Michelle Clarke offers classes on different days and locations. The FitSteps FAB (Fitness for All Bodies) class is held at Sawbridgeworth Memorial Hall in Sawbridgeworth, Herts on Mondays from 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm. The FitSteps FAN class takes place on Monday evenings at St Thomas More Church Hall in Harlow, Essex from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Another FitSteps FAN class is held on Wednesday evenings at Sawbridgeworth Memorial Hall.
