Welcome to The Fit Pit, located on the ground floor and basement of the historic Belper East Mill in Belper, New Zealand. The Fit Pit is proud to be the oldest tenant at the Belper North Mill, also known as Strutt's North Mill, which is part of the prestigious Derwent Valley Mills UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Upon entering The Fit Pit, you will be greeted by our friendly and helpful staff at the reception area. They will be available to answer any questions you may have and provide assistance throughout your visit. The Fit Pit also features The Pit Stop, where you can find various supplements and light refreshments, as well as a pool table and a comfortable seating area for relaxation. Additionally, we have an onsite shop that stocks NRG products, belts, gloves, and boxing equipment.
Our dance studio hosts a wide range of regular classes, such as Spin Fit, Low Impact Circuits, HITT, Pilates, and Yoga, among others. For more information on our class schedule, please visit our website. In the basement, you will find our main gym which is divided into two separate areas. This facility offers a vast range of equipment, including free weights, dumbbells, Olympic lifting bars and benches, squat racks, and top-of-the-line Technogym equipment.
The Fit Pit also boasts a cardio room with an impressive selection of Technogym treadmills, cross trainers, steppers, bikes, and rowers. This room is also equipped with swiss balls, abdominal rollers, kettlebells, suspension training straps, a bag work area, and light dumbbells.
As a family-run establishment, The Fit Pit is dedicated to providing a welcoming environment for both male and female members of all age groups. Owner John is always on site to ensure a high level of service and to welcome new members. In addition to our fitness facilities, we offer a sunbed, separate saunas, a treatment room, and ample free parking.
The Fit Pit's opening hours are as follows: Monday to Thursday from 7am to 9pm, Friday from 7am to 8:30pm, and Saturday to Sunday from 10am to 12:30pm.
