Likely to see better results. At Fitness Matters, we understand the significance of nutrition and offer guidance and support to help you make informed choices about your diet.
During your initial health consultation, we will discuss your current diet and nutrition habits. Based on your goals, we will provide personalised advice on how to make healthier choices and achieve a balanced diet. We will also provide you with a weekly food diary to track your eating habits and make adjustments if necessary.
Our aim is to educate and empower you to make sustainable changes to your eating habits. We believe in a flexible and realistic approach to nutrition, ensuring that you can still enjoy your favourite foods while working towards your fitness goals.
To ensure the safety and effectiveness of your workouts, all clients at Fitness Matters wear a polar heart rate monitor. This monitor is linked to an iPad, allowing us to carefully monitor your heart rate during each session. At the end of every session, we can analyse how hard you worked and how many calories you burned. This information can be emailed to you, helping you track your progress and make adjustments to your fitness routine as needed.
At Fitness Matters, we recognise that each client is unique and requires a personalised approach to training. After your initial health consultation and fitness test, we will create a tailor-made programme that is designed to help you reach your specific goals and targets.
Whether you want to lose weight, tone up, improve body shape, increase fitness levels, increase strength, alleviate stress, or improve sports-specific performance, we will develop a programme that is suitable for your fitness capabilities and preferences.
Our personal training sessions are either conducted in the studio, outdoors, or a combination of both. We offer two options for personal training: 1:1 sessions or small group training sessions. Small group sessions allow you to enjoy the benefits of personal training while sharing the cost with a small group of friends or like-minded individuals.
In addition to personal training, Fitness Matters also offers strength and conditioning classes. These classes take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6 PM and cost 15 per class. Each class is limited to a maximum of 6–8 participants to ensure personalised attention and effective instruction.
The strength and conditioning classes combine strength-building exercises using free weights with conditioning work using equipment such as the ski erg, assault bike, wall balls, prowler, and rowing machine. Due to the intensity of these classes, participants should have a reasonable fitness level and some weight lifting experience.
