Fishing Waiheke operates their charters on Grace, a 12-metre (40-foot) vessel built with New Zealand timbers for safety and comfort. The boat is MOSS surveyed and can accommodate up to 14 passengers. Whether you are an experienced fisherman or a first-timer, everyone is welcome on board. Tuition is provided for those who need it.

The Hauraki Gulf, where Fishing Waiheke charters take place, is renowned for its fishing. While snapper is the main target species, there are also opportunities to catch kahawai, trevally, kingfish, and many other species. Fishing Waiheke is a family business owned and skippered by Terry, who has more than 40 years of fishing experience. His son Mikey, who grew up on Waiheke Island, has followed in his father's footsteps, starting out as a deckhand and eventually obtaining his own skipper's ticket. The team at Fishing Waiheke has been fishing around Waiheke and the Gulf Islands for over 20 years, dedicated to providing a safe, happy, and memorable experience for their customers.

Fishing Waiheke is conveniently located on Waiheke Island in the heart of the Hauraki Gulf. Their departure point is the old wharf in Matiatia, just a short distance from the Fuller's Ferry passenger terminal.

There are a few issues that may concern potential customers. In the event of unsafe weather conditions, Fishing Waiheke will provide an alternative date by mutual agreement. If no suitable dates are available, a full refund will be given. If a customer cancels a confirmed booking less than 5 days prior to the trip, the deposit is non-refundable, but the date can be transferred to another available day.

Boarding will be refused, or the charter will be terminated if any passenger is incapacitated due to drugs or alcohol, with no refund provided in these circumstances. Any known health-related conditions or physical limitations should be discussed at the time of booking. Children are welcome but must be supervised by their caregiver at all times. Fishing Waiheke does not have EFTPOS or credit card facilities.

Before boarding, customers should ensure they have appropriate clothing, including something warm, sunglasses, sunblock, and a hat in summer. Footwear is compulsory. Customers are also responsible for bringing their own food and refreshments, including any necessary alcohol. While alcohol is permitted, intoxication will not be tolerated.
