At First Steps Wellness Centre, our mission is to create an environment for neurorehabilitation, improved quality of life, and independence. Our specialized rehabilitation facility in Regina, SK, offers intensive, activity-based recovery methods to promote gains below the level of injury. We are proud to have helped 12% of our clients walk again after a spinal cord injury and have seen a 94% increase in mobility and independence through our programs.
In addition to our spinal cord injury rehabilitation services, we also offer a Children's Program that focuses on improving motor planning, body awareness, independence, and quality of life in developmentally delayed children. This program provides intensive, activity-based therapy to help children achieve gains in just four weeks that may take a year with conventional therapy.
First Steps Wellness Centre is a Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan GymFit Facility and is recognized for training elite para athletes. We have vast experience working with individuals with neurological disabilities, making us an ideal facility for high-performance para athletes.
