Welcome to First Steps Dance Classes, where you can explore a world of dance and drama for children aged 2.5 to 17 years. First Steps Academy of Dance is excited to invite you to our local Contemporary Dance event in London.
At First Steps, we offer a wide range of classes to suit every interest and age group. Whether your child wants to twirl in ballet, groove in street dance, or embrace their inner performer in musical theatre, we have something for everyone. We also provide classes in Contemporary, Acro, PBT, and Tap, ensuring there's never a dull moment at First Steps Academy.
If you're hesitant about committing to a full term, don't worry! We offer Trial Classes that allow you to dip your toes into the world of dance before making a decision. It's a great way to get a feel for the class and see if it's the perfect fit for your child.
Our Spring Term for 2024 is just around the corner, running from January 6th to March 27th, with a well-deserved half-term break from February 12th to 17th. It's the perfect time to join in the fun and embark on a dance journey with First Steps Academy.
Our ballet training caters to children aged 2.5 years to 18 years old, starting from nursery ballet and progressing all the way up to grade 8 ballet. With experienced instructors and a supportive environment, our students are in good hands as they develop grace, strength, and technique.
In our Musical Theatre class, we bring the magic of Broadway to life. Your child will explore singing, dancing, and acting skills as they dive into different musicals each term. Our drama classes, held on Fridays, focus on voice, confidence, and teamwork for children aged 6 to 11 years old. It's the perfect way to let their creativity shine.
For those with a tap in their step, our Tap Dance classes follow the graded levels of the ISTD, enhancing dexterity and musicality. We even offer Pointe classes for students who have completed grade 4 ballet, helping them take their ballet skills to new heights.
If your child is all about the urban vibes, our Street Jazz and Modern classes are the way to go. Combining jazz and hip-hop elements, these classes focus on flexibility, stability, isolation, dynamics, and performance development. It's the coolest way to express themselves through dance.
If any of our classes catch your attention, we have Trial Classes available for all disciplines. However, please note that our trial sessions are by appointment only and cost £10. To make it even easier to join our dance family, we have a one-time registration fee of £25.
