Firestone Pilates & Purestretch is a vibrant and welcoming Pilates studio situated in the heart of Cardigan, New Zealand. Founded by Amanda Lettington, a highly skilled Level 3 Pilates Instructor, the studio aims to provide clients with an exceptional Pilates and Purestretch experience that promotes both mental and physical well-being.

Amanda's journey with Pilates began in 2005 when she discovered the incredible benefits of the exercise during her pregnancy. After finishing classes, she felt an amazing two inches taller, which was a remarkable achievement for someone who stands at just 5'2”. Inspired by her own transformation, Amanda became a qualified Pilates instructor in 2015 and subsequently started teaching classes in various gyms before launching Firestone Pilates & Purestretch in January 2016.

At Firestone Pilates & Purestretch, Amanda emphasises the accessibility and versatility of Pilates and Purestretch. Recognising the busy lifestyles of individuals, Amanda understands that finding time for self-care and exercise can be challenging. Therefore, she aims to make Pilates and Purestretch accessible to everyone. Whether you are a seasoned Pilates enthusiast or a beginner, the classes cater to individuals of all fitness levels and ages.

The studio offers various classes, including the Mixed Ability class held on Mondays at 9:15 am at St Dogmaels Memorial Hall and a Tuesday evening class conducted online via ZOOM. Amanda ensures that all exercises are layered in difficulty, allowing each participant to work at their own level. During in-person classes, Amanda focuses on individual technique and provides correction when necessary. The classes are interactive, and participants are encouraged to ask questions and seek clarity before, after, or even during a session.

In addition to Pilates, Firestone Pilates & Purestretch also offers Purestretch classes. These routines incorporate movement, toning and strengthening, stretching, and relaxation exercises, designed to lengthen, strengthen, and improve flexibility. Whether you are a golfer, runner, cyclist, weightlifter, or combat enthusiast, Purestretch will complement your regular fitness regimes. The classes specifically address the importance of proper stretching, which is often overlooked in traditional exercise routines.

Participants will have the opportunity to see their progress as they gradually improve their flexibility and reach new milestones, such as touching their toes.
