Fig Tree Pocket State School Tennis Court

Fig Tree Pocket State School Tennis Court is located at 72 Cubberla St, Fig Tree Pocket, QLD 4069. The tennis court is open from 7am to 10pm and offers both day and night rates. The day rate is $12 per hour until 6pm, and the night rate is $16 per hour from 6pm onwards. It is important to note that the lights must be turned off by 10pm.

The tennis court is divided into two courts, with Court 1 being the one closest to the prep classrooms (southern court) and Court 2 being the northern court. Both courts can be hired in half-hour increments with a minimum hire period of one hour per booking. The pricing for court bookings is set by the Parents and Citizens Association (P&C), and payment for all bookings must be made in advance.

The purpose of the tennis courts is for recreational tennis only. Professional coaching on the tennis courts is not permitted unless approved by the P&C. Any use of the courts for activities other than recreational tennis requires prior written agreement from the P&C.

Access to the tennis courts is restricted to the specified court, date, and time of the booking. Upon confirmation of the booking, a code will be provided to access the court. The code should be entered in the lockbox located in the tennis court shelter, which contains two keys – one for the padlock on the court gate and another for the lights. Users should remember to lock the gate when leaving the courts if they are the only ones using them.

The keys must be returned to the lockbox after use.

The tennis courts are equipped with lights, which can be activated by the user using the switch in the electrical box on the wall of the Prep building. The key to the electrical box can be found in the lockbox. Users must ensure that all lights are switched off by 10pm.

In terms of cancellation policy, casual bookings can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to the booking time, and a credit will be given for future use. No refunds will be provided. Permanent bookings can also be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance, and a credit will be given to be used for future bookings. No refunds are given, and additional cancellations do not receive credit.

During wet weather, the courts may become unplayable. The determination of playability during wet weather is at the discretion of the user. For casual bookings, a full credit is applied to the customer's account if the booking cannot be used due to wet weather. Permanent bookings do not receive credit for washed out sessions.

All children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times while using the tennis court. The hirer is responsible for finishing play at the designated time. If a court is vacant at the end of the booking period, it may be extended with an additional charge payable in half-hour increments.

All users of the tennis courts must not damage, deface, or mark any part of the venue. Users are fully responsible and liable for any damages incurred during their use of the facilities.
