Located in Banbury, Oxfordshire, Fernhill Sporting offers a variety of activities for both seasoned veterans and those new to the sport. The fishing lakes at Fernhill have been established for many years, providing a picturesque setting for anglers of all levels. The lakes are well-stocked with a variety of fish species, offering a peaceful fishing experience.

In addition to fishing, Fernhill Sporting has recently introduced a simulated game shooting experience. Held amidst the rolling hills of the Oxfordshire countryside, these simulated game days cater to both novices and experienced shooters. With over ten drives available, participants can choose from a range of difficulty levels.

Fernhill Sporting builds on its well-known game shoot, running for over 20 years. The simulated game days run from mid-March to mid-July, making it an ideal way to stay sharp for the upcoming game season. A typical day starts with tea, coffee, and bacon rolls. Multiple drives are scheduled throughout the day, with breaks for refreshments and a lunch provided. The day wraps up with afternoon tea and socialising at the clubhouse.

The cost for a simulated game day is reasonable. Teams of 12 to 16 guns are priced at £3,600 for the day, and individual spots are available at £320, subject to availability. Full hospitality is included, and shooting instructors can be hired for an added fee.

Participants must have at least one fully licenced member on their team and must bring their own gun and cartridges. Fibre wad cartridges no more than 30g are required, and it's recommended to bring between 700 and 800 cartridges. Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear are essential, and ear and eye protection are advised but can be provided if needed.
