Felicity Ryan Ballet

Welcome to Felicity Ryan Ballet, a non-competitive ballet school located in Rosny Park, Tasmania. Led by owner and principal, Felicity Ryan, the studio offers a comprehensive range of classes in classical ballet for both children and adults. With a focus on excellent technical training and a positive and nurturing environment, Felicity and her teaching staff are dedicated to meeting the individual needs of every student.

At Felicity Ryan Ballet, quality ballet tuition is provided for children ages 18 months and up. Class sizes are kept small, with a maximum of 15 students, ensuring that each child receives the highest standard of care and attention. Learning ballet not only fosters physical skills but also instils self-discipline, kindness, self-awareness, and confidence in all students.

The ballet school boasts two beautiful studios that are centrally located in Rosny Park. These studios are equipped with state-of-the-art sprung flooring, which helps to protect the bodies of dancers from injury. While the school is non-competitive, students have the opportunity to showcase their skills in an annual concert held in a local theatre, providing them with a valuable performance experience for their family and friends.

Felicity Ryan Ballet is proud to be an all-inclusive dance community, welcoming students of all ages and abilities. The school offers a variety of classes, including Tiny Steps Ballet for ages 18 months and up, Baby Steps Ballet for ages 3 and up, Pre-Primary Ballet for kinder-aged children, Primary Ballet for prep-aged children, and Beginners Foundation for ages 8-11. Teen Beginners Ballet is also available for ages 11-17, and there are classes tailored for children with additional needs. For adults, there are Beginner to Advanced and Pointe Ballet classes, as well as Contemporary Dance classes.

The teaching staff at Felicity Ryan Ballet are highly qualified and experienced. Felicity Ryan herself holds an Advanced Certificate in Classical Ballet from the National Theatre Ballet School and a BA in English from Tasmania University. Lisa Chambers, another ballet teacher, is certified by ARAD and holds Intermediate qualifications from SATD and Checchetti. Catharine Allen, who is both a ballet teacher and a clinical psychologist, is certified in RAD Intermediate and holds a BA (Honours) in Clinical Psychology.

Kitty Rayner, the Baby Steps Ballet teacher, is also certified by RAD and holds an Elementary qualification, as well as a B. Commerce with an Accounting Major. Finally, Johanna Roff, the Contemporary Dance teacher, is a graduate of BA Hons Contemporary Dance from the London Contemporary Dance School.
