Fawley Cricket Club is a thriving community-based facility located on the eastern side of the New Forest in Hampshire, near the Fawley Refinery. The club has a rich history, being formed in 1936 as the sports and social club for the refinery. However, since 2000 it has been operating independently. The club offers sporting activities for both adults and children, starting from the age of 5 years old.
Fawley CC is proud to have three adult teams that compete in league cricket. Alongside this, they also provide opportunities for children to participate in cricket, with dedicated coaching and programmes for youngsters. The club aims to create a safe and friendly environment where players can develop and flourish.
The club is known for its strong sense of community and inclusivity. They welcome everyone who is interested in joining, regardless of age or skill level. Finding the club's ground is easy as it is located in Holbury, at the rear of the HCSA Site (former Waterside Sports & Social Club / Esso Sports & Social Club). Ample car parking space is available, and the site is conveniently situated just past the New Forest Academy School when travelling south on the A326, or opposite the Esso Oil Refinery when travelling the other direction. Fawley CC also prides itself on its youth development programme. The Fawley Cricket Academy aims to provide aspiring young cricketers with the opportunity to develop their skills under the guidance of fully qualified and experienced level 2 coaches. In 2022, the academy will be running sides for Under 9s, Under 11s, Under 13s, and Under 15s. Additionally, the club will offer All Stars Cricket and Dynamos Cricket for girls on Sunday mornings and Monday evenings.
