Bundaberg Race Club Inc is excited to announce the upcoming Fashions on the Field events in 2024. This series of events is open to anyone over the age of 18 and will be held at our prestigious race club. We have two inclusive categories for participants to showcase their style and fashion sense.
The first category is 'Best Dressed' where participants are encouraged to showcase a well-considered special occasion race day outfit. This includes highlighting beautiful millinery and complementary accessories like jewellery, shoes, bags, and gloves. It's all about putting together a standout ensemble!
The second category is 'Best Suited', which focuses on a coordinated outfit made of the same or complementary fabric. This typically consists of a jacket and trousers or a jacket and skirt. Just like the Best Dressed category, participants in this category are also encouraged to showcase millinery and complementary accessories. It's all about looking sharp and stylish!
To participate in Fashions on the Field, individuals need to obtain a number from our fashions table in their chosen category. Our friendly judges can provide guidance if anyone is unsure about which category to enter. Additionally, our race day judges and staff will direct participants to the fashions registration area prior to judging. We want to make sure everyone has a fair chance to showcase their style!
There will be three prizes awarded in each category, and if we have many entrants, we may also hold heats. So, make sure to bring your A-game and compete for a chance to win!
In addition to the Melbourne Hotel Fashions on the Field events, we are also hosting Fashions on the Field competitions at the Marquee on Catholic Schools Race Day (16 March 2024) and Ulton Race Day (31 August 2024). These marquee events, organised by their respective organisers, will have their own unique themes. Stay tuned for more information as we announce the themes prior to the events.
It's important to keep in mind that Fashions on the Field is run by our amazing volunteers, including our judging panel. We kindly request participants to adhere to the seasonal dress code guidelines when entering the competition.
