Faringdon Bowling Club

Faringdon Bowling Club is a small and friendly club located in Faringdon, New Zealand. With a mixed membership, the club offers both competitive and friendly bowling experiences for its members. They participate in bowls games in various leagues in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, and Swindon.

The club has men's teams that play games in two of the Swindon & District Bowls Association Leagues, as well as one team playing in the Kennet Over 55's league in Berkshire. Additionally, the club organises mixed Triples matches in the Ashley Baker League, and the ladies have weekly friendly matches with various clubs in the area.

During the Winter months (October to March), Faringdon Bowling Club also plays short mat bowls. Members meet every Tuesday afternoon for roll-ups, and the club organises club singles, pairs, and triples competitions.

In addition to the outdoor bowls and short mat bowls programmes, Faringdon Bowling Club has a skittle alley that is used during the Winter for games against other local clubs as well as socially for their own members.

The club also has an active Social Membership that enjoys regular fortnightly Coffee Mornings and monthly Sunday Lunches, as well as other events throughout the year.

To find Faringdon Bowling Club, visitors can locate the end of Gravel Walk, approximately 50m before the mini roundabout junction of Lechlade Road and Gloucester Street. The club's driveway entrance is on the left-hand side of Gravel Walk, set back from the road. There is now a sign at the roadside indicating the driveway entrance.

Every week, the club's bar is open for Friday Club Night, where members can gather, enjoy a drink, and socialise. During this event, all members have the chance to enter a Free Friday Night Draw for a cash prize, as long as they are present when the draw takes place between 9 – 9. 30 pm.
