Family Karate Centre

Family Karate Centre, located in London, is a renowned martial arts school that has been building confidence in students for over 30 years. The centre emphasizes life skills through karate, offering people of all ages the opportunity to gain valuable self-defence skills while improving their fitness and self-confidence.

The centre offers a variety of karate programs for different age groups. The Little Dragons program is designed for 4-5 year olds, focusing on teaching the basics of karate along with important life skills such as focus, confidence, and discipline. The Kids Karate program, for 6-12 year olds, not only teaches self-defence and traditional karate techniques but also emphasizes self-discipline, mutual respect, and hard work. The Adult Karate program, starting at age 13, encourages fitness through karate and sparring to keep students in good, healthy shape.

Family Karate Centre also offers sparring programs that focus on point-fighting with light-contact techniques, as well as a weapons program for advanced level belts to learn basic weapon techniques with bo, nunchakus, and tonfas.

In addition to karate programs, the centre offers kickboxing classes for adults and kids, non-contact kickboxing focusing on fitness, self-confidence, and self-defence. The Kali Silat and Modern Arnis classes are Filipino-based martial arts taught by experienced instructors. Self-defence courses, traditional Uechi classes, and free beginner classes are also available at the centre.
