At FACE, the goal is to foster the independence of individuals affected by neuromotor conditions in their daily activities and social engagements. The mission is to achieve this through the inspired methods and teachings of Conductive Education.
Families of Alberta for Conductive Education offers programs for children from toddlers to young adults, helping them learn how to be more independent. The program works alongside the child's schooling and also provides services for adults through family-managed services or agencies. Based on scientific research on the benefits of physical exercise, it is recommended to attend the program a minimum of twice per week.
For families or children under 18 in the Province of Alberta, there may be financial support available through FSCD. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact FACE for more information and assistance in understanding the process.
Admission to the program at FACE is done following a free one-on-one consultation with a conductor. Age guidelines are recommendations, and after discussion with the team, the program that best fits the individual or child will be suggested.
