Fairlight Hall Riding For The Disabled, a beloved horse riding club based in Hastings, is excited to announce their upcoming local horse riding event! This registered charity is dedicated to providing riders of all ages with the incredible therapeutic benefits of being in the presence of horses.
During their lessons, which last for a delightful 30 minutes, participants have the opportunity to experience the joys of horseback riding either in their fabulous outdoor arena or by exploring the beautiful grounds on a calming hacking session. It's the perfect way to connect with these majestic animals and embrace the tranquil surroundings.
But that's not all! Fairlight Hall RDA is currently on a mission to fundraise for a marvellous sensory trail, which will undoubtedly enhance the riding experience for everyone involved. They also offer the fabulous “Tea with a Pony” sessions, designed specifically for individuals with dementia or other lifelong conditions. It's a heartwarming chance to enjoy the company of these gentle creatures, accompanied by a nice cup of tea, of course.
At Fairlight Hall RDA, they believe in the power of community and warmly welcome anyone who is interested in riding or volunteering to reach out and join their fantastic team. They pride themselves on their diverse group of horses, including the splendid Arthur, a 12-year-old grey Irish Draught, the noble Henna, a 22-year-old roan Belgian draft, the magnificent Mull, a 22-year-old bay Exmoor gelding, and the spirited Bonnie, an 11-year-old black Welsh cob. Not forgetting to mention their newest addition, Amelia, a 13.3 hh Gypsy Cob, who has seamlessly become part of their exceptional team.
Led by an exceptional trustee board comprising Sarah Kowitz DL, Melanie Willis Fleming, Roz Scott, Katie Wyatt, Juliet Burford, Tina Freedman, and Sue Climpson, Fairlight Hall RDA is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of their riders. They're also fortunate to have an outstanding working committee that includes Yvonne Zackim, Caroline Wedmore, Fran Tyman, and Katy Train. Together, they ensure that the club runs smoothly and that each and every member feels valued and supported.
