Evolution BJJ Cold Lake, located within Kempe Fitness & Fighting in Cold Lake, is a mixed martial arts club offering a variety of programs including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA, Wrestling, and Pilates. Under the guidance of blue and purple belt BJJ instructors, led by 1st degree black belt Professor Bernie Antle, Evolution BJJ focuses on the three areas of stand-up, clinch, and ground. The club utilizes a variety of martial arts techniques including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Russian Sambo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Kick Boxing, Judo, Greco-Roman and Free-style Wrestling. The ultimate goal is to create well-rounded mixed martial artists in a positive and relaxed environment.
The Adult BJJ Program at Evolution BJJ Cold Lake runs five days a week, offering both Gi Only and No Gi classes. The Youth BJJ Program is divided into two age groups: Youth Gi BJJ 6-9yrs and Youth Gi BJJ 10-15yrs. Classes are fast-paced and challenging, but new members are encouraged to progress at their own pace. Instructors are dedicated to providing modifications and demonstrations to suit individual needs and fitness levels.
